In our years of experience serving the corporate market, we have found that there are two prevailing definitions of team building.

We can provide either of these two types of experiences:

1) Team building as a relationship-building activity, especially for groups that don't work directly together all the time. A shared experience that creates a "buzz" on return to the office. Something that bonds people together and creates stronger friendships. These are things that may facilitate the ability for people to work together upon return to the office.

2) Team building as experiential learning. In addition to the benefits described above, it is a developmental experience in which groups learn how to work more effectively together. The client usually has specific objectives, such as "improving communication" or "plan the work and work the plan". A connection is made between the team building experience and the work place by means of a facilitated debrief.

We provide excellent "type 1" experiences by ensuring that we understand our audience. We like to know your group's level of competitiveness, their demographic, the degree to which they work together on a daily basis and their openness to having fun together. Based on this information, we make subtle changes to our content and the way we run our scavenger hunt. This ensures that your group will have the best possible adventure together.

We provide meaningful and relevant "type 2" experiences by spending extra time understanding your objectives. Our corporate training background gives us insight into the challenges and problems that corporate groups face as they increasingly must rely on each other to get the job done. Based on what you hope to get out of the session, we customize parts of the hunt so that participants will be looking for examples of actions that exemplify the desired workplace behaviour. After the hunt, participants share these examples with the entire group with the help of a skilled facilitator. The facilitator also helps the group identify ways to work more effectively upon return to the workplace.

Our extensive background in working with corporate groups of all types gives us the unique ability to provide a session that is fun, active, stimulating and most importantly, beneficial to your group and your company.

For more information, please contact us. We would be pleased to spend some time understanding your objectives and helping you see why a scavenger hunt is a wonderful way to accomplish your goals. We would also be happy to share some examples of how we have helped other groups.
