Downtown Toronto Scavenger Hunt

by | Nov 24, 2022 | Team Building

The Toronto downtown scavenger hunt is our most popular scavenger hunt in the Greater Toronto Area.

The Downtown Toronto Scavenger Hunt

Our hunt in this area encompasses the financial district, the entertainment district, and some of the main tourist venues, to the south of Front Street, such as Rogers Center, Scotiabank Arena and CN Tower.

Why Have Your Scavenger Hunt in Downtown Toronto

There are many reasons why Downtown Toronto is a fantastic team building scavenger hunt location
  •  DENSITY:  It is an area of high density with many interesting buildings, landmarks, statues, public, art, and much more. Around every corner there is something else about which a scavenger hunt task or challenge can be created.
  • WEATHERPROOF:  This is the only weatherproof Toronto scavenger hunt location because of the underground PATH that connects many of the downtown buildings. We say that our Toronto scavenger hunt takes place “in and around” the PATH which means that in nicer weather, participants can spend more time traveling from place to place outdoors, whereas, if the weather is poor, they can travel within the PATH for much or all of the scavenger hunt.  It’s a great feature that ensures that your event will take place as planned.
  • GREAT VENUES: Downtown Toronto has many great options for your start and finish locations. If your group has an office within the hunt area or is meeting at a hotel or other meeting venue in the downtown area, you can start right from there. You have the option to end where you start or you can end at one of many fantastic venues in the financial and entertainment districts.
  • SIZE: Because of the area’s larger size it is possible to assign a longer duration to your corporate scavenger hunt. If you’re looking for an event that lasts 2 1/2 to 4 hours, then this location would be a good option for you compared to some of the smaller hunt areas. Why have a longer scavenger hunt? Well, perhaps you have participants from out of town who would like to see as much of the downtown area as possible. Perhaps you have a group with a higher than average level of fitness in which case a little bit more walking around be something that your group would like.

Downsides of this Location

The main downside of this location is the busyness. Depending on the time of day of your scavenger hunt, there could be a lot of pedestrian traffic and a lot of car traffic. It certainly is a vibrant part of town, however, if a more relaxing event is something that your group would respond well to then you might consider one of the alternate locations within the city.

Alternative Locations

Some alternatives that you might consider to the downtown Toronto scavenger hunt are the Distillery District, University of Toronto and Bloor-Yorkville.
