The Great Washington DC Scavenger Hunt is an entertaining team building activity in the world’s most important city. What better way to experience Washington DC than a visit to the National Mall. And what better way to experience the National Mall than a team building scavenger hunt! The Mall is replete with monuments, sculptures, fountains, galleries and museums. There is lots to do and see here and your group will not only enjoy each other’s company in a competitive setting. They will also learn more about the history of our country.
The scavenger hunt incorporates the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Smithsonian, the National Gallery of Art, the National Archives, the Holocaust Museum, the Botanic Gardens and the White House, just to name a few. Put on your walking shoes and make sure you don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to experience the heart of this great nation!
This map shows the boundaries of the Washington DC. Note that the hunt area is a rectangle. Unfortunately, metro stations cannot be found at each end, which would be handy! You might like to arrange for your participants to have transportation to and from each end of the hunt area so that they don’t have to backtrack. This is the best way to do it!
Here are some sample scavenger hunt tasks for Washington DC:
In the statue of Abraham Lincoln found at the Lincoln Memorial, which fist is clenched?
